Organic food production is very knowledge intensive. Verify if the growers have technical qualifications or expertise. Ask for organic certification and if they have tested the produce for pesticide residues.
4. Since WHEN is the organic food store in existence?
Organic production takes many years to bear fruit. Certification requires a minimum of 2-3 years depending on the crop. You can ask for history of organic cultivation of the supplier farms.
5. WHY do you do Organic?
Validate if the organic food store is in this business purely for business or out of passion to deliver good food to the society. It is fair to say only the most dedicated folks can sustain being in this field.
