A resilient vegetable that may be kept in the refrigerator for up to a week. Can also be preserved at home by being pickled or fermented. It is better to keep as whole and unwashed until you are ready to utilize it. Cutting into it will cause it to lose vitamin C, causing it to spoil more quickly. Place the head in a plastic bag in the crisper drawer of your refrigerator to keep it fresh.
Crop thrives well in relatively cool and moist climate; it is mostly grown as a winter crop. Based on its temperature requirements we mainly plant the crop during the second half of the year.
