Fresh bean should be stored unwashed in a plastic bag in the refrigerator crisper. This method of storing whole beans should keep them around five days. If you plan to use them in a future meal, wash them under running water and snap off both ends of the beans with a knife or snap them off with a snapping action. Cut pieces of the bean can also be stored in an air tight container for a few days in the refrigerator.
