These pulses can be stored in a dry airtight container at room temperature; They should always be stored in airtight containers with tight fitting lids or closures. They should be kept far from heat, air and moisture. Adding a little turmeric powder while storing it helps to keep away the insects. Also a few neem leaves or dry red chillies can be added along with the lentils and saved in an air tight container.
Availability
This crop grows best in warm humid climate with moderate rains. It can be grown during monsoon and mild winter season.
