These pulses can be stored in a dry airtight container at room temperature; They should always be stored in airtight containers with tight fitting lids or closures. They should be kept far from heat, air and moisture. Adding a little turmeric powder while storing it helps to keep away the insects. Also a few neem leaves or dry red chillies can be added along with the lentils and then saved in an air tight container.
Availability
It can be grown throughout the year; summer, rainy and winter season. We grow it during the monsoon season since it is the peak season and is ideally sown in June or July.
