Mulaga is a hardy plant that can thrive in extreme environments. Over watering should be avoided at all times and the plant should be monitored closely to avoid attack of pests. At OrganicSiri, we grow all our crops in our own farms organically without use of fertilizers or chemicals.
Mulaga should be stored in the crisper drawers of the refrigerator, wrapped in paper. They will keep for 3 to 4 days in the refrigerator, although they are best eaten right away. It can be cleaned and preserved as well. Cut them into 4–6 cm lengths, peel the skin off and store them in zip lock or airtight containers.
Munaga plants are in our farms year round. Yeld of fruits is higher in winter and limited quantities are harvested in other seasons.
