Cultivation highlights

Kothmir has to be protected from leaf eating caterpillar’s right from seedling stage. Crop should be weeded periodically. At OrganicSiri, we grow all our crops in our own farms organically without use of fertilizers or chemicals.

Fresh patha is so much more flavorful, even if it only lasts a few days. Fresh leaves can last up to three days. To keep them fresher for longer, wash and dry the leaves to remove any impurities. Dab the leaves with a paper towel to make sure they’ve dried completely. Once the leaves have dried, transfer to a new container, cover it with a paper towel and add the leaves. Close the lid properly and add another layer of paper towel on top. Make sure the leaves haven’t retained even a speck of moisture. Refrigerate the container in an airtight container.

Kothmeer requires cool and dry climate, they are grown throughout the year except peak summers, so that they can be made available at all times.
